VANGEST leads a sustainable future for plastic packaging
As the leader of the Packaging of the Future® Green Agenda, we brought together around 250 participants at our industrial campus. We hosted the consortium of 79 entities involved in this project to present the results achieved so far.
Driving sustainable development
Led by VANGEST, in partnership with NERLEI CCI, the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, and CIMRL, Packaging of the Future® is part of the Green Agendas for Business Innovation.
This project focuses on researching, developing, and globally commercialising sustainable packaging solutions.
These initiatives foster collaboration between industry and the scientific and technological sectors, strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of Portugal’s economy.

The Packaging of the Future® results presentation was more than an opportunity to showcase progress. It was a powerful statement of intent for the future of plastic packaging.

Secretary of State for the Economy’s Visit Underscores Strategic Alignment
The Secretary of State for the Economy of the Portuguese Republic, João Rui Ferreira, presence represented a significant milestone, underscoring the central role of innovation and sustainability in the national agenda while reinforcing the efforts of the consortium partners. This visit further consolidated Vangest’s position—and that of all involved stakeholders—at the forefront of ecological transformation, contributing to Portugal’s sustainable economic growth.
